OXFAM: PROJECT MANAGER


BASED IN RUMBEK, SALARY: SDG 5,190 PER MONTH GROSS, FIXED TERM CONTRACT + OTHER BENEFITS.

To help us further our work, we are looking for a dynamic, hard working individual to fill the role of Project Manager.

As Project Manager you will manage the livelihood team and ensure accountability and Oxfam ethics are maintained. You will take lead in the planning and implementation of the livelihood programme, which will involve carrying out baseline assessments, problem analysis, program design, program planning, impact monitoring, program evaluation and applying lessons learned. You will also be expected to build the capacity of community based groups/organizations, local NGOs, ministries and OGB staff. You will carry out donor contract management including feeding into proposals, log frames, budgets and reports. Further to this you will ensure gender, diversity & public health issues are mainstreamed in all aspects of the programme as well as represent Oxfam GB at different fora at local and county levels as well with other NGO’s and agencies.

To be selected for this role you will have relevant degree qualification in a livelihoods discipline (agriculture, veterinary medicine, livestock development, marketing & trade) alongside this you will have significant experience of working in a livelihood programme in both development and emergency contexts. You will have proven ability to develop creative approaches to livelihood interventions and implementing projects with partners. Your computer, leadership and communication skills will be excellent. You will have proven co-ordination and planning skills, experience of working with partners at different levels and a good problem solving track record. Your verbal and writing skills will be above average and critical for the success of this role.
