- Supervision of all staff in the Department of Pharmacy.
- Formulation of policies on drug" use in the Hospital in liaison with other relevant departments.
- Planning and implementation of other policies that will improve the output of the Pharmacy Department in the Hospital and generally be responsible for organization, control and coordination of Pharmaceutical services in the Hospital.
- Ensure compliance, by prescribers and dispensers, to the Hospital Drug Formulary.

- Possess a Degree in Pharmacy from a recognized University.
- Be registered with the Pharmacy and Poisons Board as a Pharmacist.
- Should have served as Deputy Chief Pharmacist or equivalent position for at least three (3) years and shown outstanding administrative qualities and a high degree of capability and professional competence in organizing and running of Pharmaceutical services including monitoring the quality of drugs in a Hospital setting.
- He/she should have a relevant post-graduate degree in Pharmacy, such as, clinical pharmacology, pharmaceutical chemistry and pharmaceutics.
- A postgraduate qualification in Business Administration will be an added advantage.
- Should have knowledge and experience in ISO Quality Management Systems.

- Have shown a high degree of professional and administrative competence, as well as broad work experience in the formulation of Nursing policies and programmes aimed at enhancing delivery of Nursing services in the Organization.
- Have had a proven track record in the formulation of nursing policies at both local and national level.

This will involve overseeing the safety and security of buildings, plant and equipment, hospital grounds and patients.
In achieving this objective, the incumbent will:
- Carry out physical security surveys in order to proactively determine security and safety needs.
- Enforce compliance with security, safety and operational procedures and instructions through frequent inspections.
- Investigate incidents of loss and/or damage of property.
- Maintain a close liaison with Government of Kenya law enforcement agencies on matters pertaining to security.
- Offer professional consultancy and advice on physical protective security to the Hospital and its customers.
- Police and investigate matters related to compliance with the Hospital's code of conduct
Requirements for appointment
- One must be at least an Ex-Chief Inspector in the Kenya Police or in the Administrative Police or in the Armed Forces rank of a Major and above.
- Academic qualification shall be a minimum of KCSE grade C+ (plus) and Div. II or equivalent and must have served for a period of not less than (5) years and above in the Kenya Police or Administration Police or in the Armed Forces. A degree or Diploma is an added advantage.
- Must have attended management courses and have good managerial skills.
- Must have an upto date Certificate of Good Conduct from the Criminal Investigations Department (CID).
