Mogogosiek Tea Factory Co Ltd is seeking to recruit suitably qualified persons to fill the following vacant positions at Kobel satellite tea factory:

Assistant Factory Accountant

Reporting to the Factory Accountant - the successful candidate will be responsible for:-

• Ensuring maintenance of proper books of accounts;
• Preparing monthly financial and management reports;
• Preparing timely and accurate reports;
• Participating in and ensuring sound management of stores;
• Preparing the payroll;
• Assisting in the management of bank and tea cess accounts;
• Participating in the end year stock taking.

The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications, skills and experience:-

• A first degree in Finance, Accounting, or Commerce from a reputable university and CPA Part II;
  
• Non-degree holders with CPA (K) qualifications may also be considered;
  
• Working experience of not less than two (2) years;
  
• Proficiency in Microsoft and accounting packages;
  
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Production Supervisor

Reporting to the Production Manager - the successful candidate will be responsible to:-

• Maintaining accurate production records;
• Supervision of staff in the assigned production lines;
• Ensuring production of tea within set standards;
• Ensuring maintenance of hygiene standards in the production floor;
• Constantly liaising with the factory management on production floor issues;
• Performing any other duty as may be assigned.

The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications, skills and experience:

• 'O' level division II or KCSE C plain;
• Higher Diploma in Food Science and Technology from a recognized institution;
• At least three (3) years working experience in tea or food processing establishment;
• Be computer literate;
• Aged less than 35 years.

Electrical Technician

Reporting to the Production Manager - the successful candidate will be responsible for:-

• Planning and executing maintenance schedules of the factory's electrical installations;
  
• Allocating duties and supervising electricians in the factory;
• Diagnosing faults, identifying and overcoming bottlenecks of electrical nature for smooth factory operations and ensure timely repairs of electrical equipment;
• Advising management on procurement needs of the electrical section;
• Attending to motor rewinding needs of the factory;
• Constantly liaising with the factory plant maintenance team for smooth running of operations;
• Performing any other duties as may be assigned.

The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications, skills and experience:-

• 'O' level division II or KCSE C plain;
• Higher Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution;
• At least five (5) years experience gained in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the tea industry;
• Be computer literate;
• Aged less than 35 years.

Boiler Operator

Reporting to the Plant Technician - the successful candidate will be responsible for:-

• Operating the steam system equipment as per approved procedures;
• Reporting malfunction of boilers;
• Carrying out boiler water treatment as per procedures;
• Carrying out planned preventive maintenance for the boilers as per procedures; Ensuring that the boilers are safe for use at all times;
• Capturing and keeping of boiler's operations and maintenance data;
• Ensuring that the factory maximizes on the use of firewood boiler.

The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications, skills and experience:-

• 'O' level division II or KCSE C plain;
• Certificate in boiler operation;
• At least three (3) years experience in boiler operations;
• Be computer literate;
• Aged less than 35 years.

Store Keeper

Reporting to the Factory Accountant - the successful candidate will be responsible for:-

• Managing of stock levels in the unit store;
• Handling firewood received in the factory and recording details of the same;
• Ensuring all goods received in the unit are of the quality and quantity ordered;
• Issuing out all approved goods in the store through the approved procedures.
• Preparing and generating all relevant stores returns and dispatch as required;
• Ensuring adherence to procurement and inventory management procedures;
• Initializing requisition for materials required for all departments within the unit;
  
• Floating and analyzing quotations to and from approved suppliers;

The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications, skills and experience:-

• 'O' level division II or KCSE C plain;
• Diploma in Purchasing and Supplies Management from a recognized institution;
• At least three (3) years relevant working experience;
• Be computer literate;
• Aged less than 35 years.

Senior Mechanic

Reporting to the Plant Technician - the successful candidate will be responsible for:-

• Overseeing factory machinery maintenance and installation;
• Advising management on mechanical breakdowns and undertaking corrective measures;
  
• Allocating duties and supervision of the factory maintenance team;
• Diagnosing of factory mechanical faults;
• Participating in the preventive maintenance programs.

The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications, skills and experience:-

• 'O' level division II or KCSE C plain;
• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Plant Option) or Technician III certificate from a recognized institution;
• At least three (3) years relevant working experience gained in a busy manufacturing plant;
• Be computer literate;
• Aged less than 35 years.
