The Integrated Regional information Network (IRIN) is a leading provider of multimedia humanitarian news and analysis (www.irinnews.org). Its award winning Documentary Film Unit is looking for an Assistant (ICS-5 Level). IRIN Films promotes the plight of vulnerable people trapped in forgotten humanitarian emergencies.

Requirements:-

• Two years experience in journalism or a related field
  
• A proven ability to conduct and compile research work
  
• An eagerness to enter and learn about the world of documentary filmmaking
  
• A track record of academic excellence with a university degree a definite advantage
• Design - Familiarity with design/layout software such as Quark or Adobe illustrator an advantage
  
• Graphics - Familiarity with graphics and flash programmes also an advantage.
  
• A good understanding of and interest in global humanitarian issues.
  
• Readiness to work long hours to meet tight deadlines.
