Transport Officer
We seek to recruit a self-motivated, energetic and qualified individual for the above post.
Key Responsibilities:
Implementing of transport systems throughout the organization which will involve:
- Overall management of company fleet both commercial and private, their repairs and maintenance.
- Supervising all drivers, training them and conducting appraisal as required by the management.
- Tracking vehicles using online tracking system and reporting any violations for action.
- Reporting to management on all aspects of fleet performance.
- Coordinating loading and delivery of both raw materials and finished products in liaison with dispatch department.
- Management of outsourced transport.
- Carrying out preliminary investigation on transport related incidents and accidents in view of managing risk and exposure.
Qualification and skills:
- Bsc. Mechanical engineering, background training in logistics management an added advantage.
- A minimum of 3 years experience in a busy transporting company
- Diploma holder in mechanical Engineering with 8 years experience in transport management will be considered
- Excellent skills in report writing, analytical and communication.
