- Knowledge of the Donor and Investor groups in the funds market
- Knowledge of Fund and/or Grant Management standards
- Knowledge of funding mechanisms from donor, investor, commercial and capital market sources etc
- Knowledge of funding products for MFIs and interest rate mechanisms (or other compensation methods to savers)
- Ability to write proposals to prospective donors and investors
- Ability to evaluate double bottom line performance and generate relevant donor /investor reports
- Exhibit initiative and ability in liaising with existing and prospective donors/ investors

- Ability to analyze fmancials for NGOs, Saccos and other Micro Credit Institutions
- Ability to conduct client interviews with potential and existing clients
- Ability to present a credit proposal that will keenly analyze the risk issues and other issues in accordance with the Trust's credit policies
- Demonstrate a willingness to participate in poverty eradication policies and guidelines (heart for microfinance)
- Ability to lead others and manage a credit portfolio
- Demonstrate clear marketing and sales abilities
- Ability to interpret client needs into new products
- Ability to organize and run monitoring unit
- Ability to identify capacity building needs and link them with credit monitoring references
- Ability to train on specific skills in identified MFI organizations
Both of the roles above will also require the following skills;
- Exhibit willingness to travel and demonstrate good people skills
- Exhibit determination and discipline in carrying out assignments
- Exhibit self confidence end ability to clearly articulate issues with relevance and impact aimed at improving financial services inclusion and expansion within the MFI sector
Person Profile
- A University graduate with at least five years relevant experience credit management and micro credit marketing skills.
- Applicants from small / medium size banks with liability marketing skills, credit/risk analysis and recovery experience will also be considered.
