Chief Warehouse Manager Based in Nairobi
  • Overseeing stock control and processing orders; keeping stock control systems up to date for timely reports
  • Ensuring quality, delivery budget and environmental objectives are met;
  • Fulfilling objectives and directives from the operation's headquarters and coordinating the use of automated and computerized systems;
  • Responding to and dealing with customer communication by letter, email, fax and telephone;
  • Planning future capacity requirements and space management
  • Producing regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis;
  • Briefing team leaders on a daily basis or as may be necessary
  • Visiting customers to monitor the quality of service they are receiving;
  • Maintaining standards of health and safety, hygiene and security in the work environment; overseeing the planned maintenance of vehicles, machinery and equipment
  • monitoring the performance and progress of staff;
  • motivating, organizing and encouraging teamwork within the workforce to ensure set productivity targets are met;

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • Degree in commerce, logistics, business management or related field
  • Self starter of High integrity
  • 5 years experience in a senior warehouse management or procurement position
  • Aged 35 years and above
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to make rational decision
  • Computer proficiency and ability to use word, spreadsheet and data capture systems
  • Ability to lead other and give timely reports
Assistant Branch Manager Based in Mombasa
  • Plan and coordinate dairy operations between our demanding clients and our core operations.
  • Maintain up to date and accurate records of the status of our client jobs.
  • Provide head office with up to date reports and maintain regular contact with field staff and transporters to ensure proactive flow of information.
  • Compiling various reports in liaison with relevant managers: Monthly and weekly statistics and indicators for timely delivery
  • Transport operations planning and implementation.
  • Budgetary planning and control.
  • Business development & Customer service.
  • Examining and analysing rates, quotations and operating costs and revenues to determine increase in rates, reduction of operations and maintenance costs.
  • Preparing recommendations designed to increase efficiency, revenues and lower costs for management evaluation.
  • Check and monitor on removal of cargo to ensure that it's collected within the free period allowed by KPA after release and where necessary report to management of late removal for purposes of debiting port rent to the account of the transporter.
  • Directly supervise and be responsible for the actions of any subordinate staff working under you.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • A degree in logistics, commerce, business management or any related field
  • At least two years experience in a management position
  • Aged 30 years and above
  • Team leader and ability to meet strict dead lines
  • Innovative, a strategist, high degree of integrity and able to work
  • Computer proficiency and ability to use MS suite of packages
Assistant Accountants Based in Nairobi

General Purpose

The assistant accountant will be responsible for applying accounting principles and procedures to gather and analyze financial information, offer service support to customers financial requirements, prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements and ensure appropriate accounting control procedures.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
  • To Perform customer billings effectively and accurately.
  • Compile and analyze financial information to prepare financial statements including monthly and annual accounts
  • Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met
  • Prepare financial management reports, continuous management and support of budget and forecast activities
  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close
  • Establish and monitor the implementation and maintenance of accounting control procedures
  • Maintain General ledger and prepare necessary reconciliations on time and resolve accounting discrepancies.
  • Manage all statutory and other requisite returns ensuring timely compliance.
  • Maintain the financial accounting system to ensure the integrity of all data.
  • Financial audit preparation and coordinate the audit process to ensure the timely completion of audits
  • Ensure accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses
  • Analyze and advise on business operations including revenue and expenditure trends, financial commitments and future revenues
  • Analyze financial information to recommend or develop efficient use of resources and procedures, provide strategic recommendations and maintain solutions to business and financial problems.
  • Maintain an effective and efficient filing and information retrieval system including electronic and manual filing systems.
  • To offer administrative support to the finance department in any other tasks that may be assigned.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • At least 2 years relevant experience in accounting
  • IT literate and proficient in financial software applications
  • CPA II or ACCA or equivalent and a university degree in accounting, Finance, Business management or related field will be an added advantage.
