Job Summary
- The job holder will assist in the operations of the finance department which include reporting, update of financial information, debtor, creditor and cash management.
This position reports to the Finance Officer.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist with preparation of monthly management accounts, financial accounts, projections and budgets.
- Assist in monitoring Centum’s performance against budget
- Preparation of monthly bank reconciliations.
- Processing of financial transactions into the financial accounting system, prepare journal vouchers and manage the sales, purchases and general ledger.
- Update and reconcile the fixed asset register to the general ledger.
- Prepare and ensure the timely payment of statutory returns including PAYE, NHIF NSSF, Withholding tax and VAT.
- Prepare cheques, payment vouchers and receipts.
- Assist in the administration of the annual statutory audit.
- Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and work closely with external auditors to ensure the timely completion of audits.
- Maintain the financial accounting system to ensure the integrity of all data.
- Maintain an effective and efficient filing and information retrieval system including electronic and manual filing systems.
- Assist in the monitoring of petty cash.
Educational Requirements
- A degree holder in Accounting or Commerce or a Business related discipline.
- Professional accounting qualifications such as CPA or ACCA.
Required Experience
- At least 2 years relevant experience in accounting preferably in a financial services institution.
