1. Director, TVFT Programmes
Grade XV
Ref No: AD/0019/10
The Kenya Polytechnic University College is a leader in the provision of training for middle level skilled manpower and is committed to continue with this mandate and tradition.
The Director, TVET Programmes, will be responsible to the Principal and Management for the coordination of the TVET Programmes at the undergraduate level.
The office will also be responsible for liaison with industry and other technical training institutes to ensure the standards meet the expectations of the industry and other stakeholders.
Applicants should be Kenyan citizens with a Bachelors degree from a recognized university, in any area relevant to TVET and currently covered under the programmes of study within the College.
They should have at least ten years’ experrence in teaching and administration in TVET institutions, five of which should be at the level of Principal.
In addition, they should be team-builders with demonstrable leadership skills and have a clear understanding of the national TVET policy and the general developments in TVET at the international level. They must have excellent communication skills and be computer literate.
2. College Librarian
Grade XV
Ref No: AD/0020/10
The College Librarian will be responsible to the Principal and Management for the management and general  administration of the College Library system.
Applicants should be Kenyan citizens with at least a Masters degree in library and information sciences from a recognized university.
They should have at least ten years’ relevant experience, five of which must have been served at the level of at least Senior Librarian in a busy university library or equivalent. They should be computer literate and conversant with the latest technological developments in library and information science. They should be team-builders with demonstrable leadership and communication skills.
3. Assistant Executive Secretary
Grade XI
Ref No: AD/0021/10
The Assistant Executive Secretary will be assigned duties within the College Senior Management and will be responsible for the management and general administration of one of the offices.
Applicants must be Kenyan citizens with a relevant degree from a recognized university and necessary secretarial qualifications.
They should be team-builders with demonstrable leadership skills and have at least seven years administrative experience, three of them at senior level in a public university, Government Department, or equivalent. Those with relevant Diploma and extensive experience in similar institutions will also be considered. They must have excellent communication and report writing skills together with the relevant computer packages.
4. Assistant Secretary
Grade V/VI
Ref No: AD/0022/10
Applicants must be Kenyan citizens with at least KCSE Grade C or equivalent with a credit in English language. They should in addition have necessary secretarial qualifications from the Kenya National Examinations Council or equivalent.
Possession of relevant experience in large educational institution or Government Department will be added advantage. They must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills together with the relevant computer packages.
