ESTATE OFFICER (1 POST) – DAR ES SALAAM

Reports to: Human Resources and Administrative Manager

Reports to job holder: None


Job purpose: To provide estate management services to the company




Qualifications:


• Holder of university degree in either civil engineering, architecture, valuation, estate management or equivalent qualifications from a recognized training institution plus working experience of at least 3 years;


• Ability to communicate with other professionals regarding legal, financial, construction and contractual issues;


• Knowledge and skills on computer usage


• Fluent in English and Kiswahili.




Duties:


1. Coordinate and supervise building maintenance activities and improvement programmes;


2. Ensure proper utilization of landed properties;


3. Participate in the formulalion of estate management policies;


4. Prepare, analyse, and compile budget estimates for estate management activities;


5. Examine and verify building construction and maintenance works performed by contractors;


6. Participate in setting rental fee, and ensure their collection and minimize arrears and defaulters;


7. Ensure compliance to relevant legislations governing landed properties and estate management in general;


8. Assist in administrative issues;


9. Write monthly reports on estate management activities.


10. Advise the Human Resources and Administrative Manager on matters pertaining to estate management;


11. Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor
