HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICER (1 POST) – DAR ES SALAAM, TANZANIA

Reports to: Human Resources and Administrative Manager

Reports to job holder: None


Job purpose: To provide human resource management services to the company




Qualifications:


• Holder of a degree in Human Resource Management or Labour Studies or equivalent qualifications from a recognized training institution plus relevant working experience of at least 3 years;


• Ability to interpret and apply labour laws;


• Knowledge and skills on computer usage


• Fluent in English and Kiswahili.




Duties:


1. Coordinate staff recruitment and selection - this includes developing job descriptions, preparing job advertisement, checking application letters, short-listing, interviewing and selecting candidates; •


2. Assist line managers in understanding and implementing Human Resources policies and procedures;


3. Assist in developing human resources policies;


4. Advise on pay and other remuneration issues including promotion, benefits and salary reviews; (


5. Negotiate with staff and their representatives on issues relating to pay and condition;


6. Interpret and provide advice on the application of labour laws;


7. Listen to grievances and implement disciplinary procedures;


8. Participate in human resource planning and budgeting;


9. Prepare monthly human resource reports;


10. Advise the Human Resources and Administrative Manager on issues pertaining to human resources;


11. Perform any other duties as may be assigne9 by the supervisor.
