ASSISTANT ACCOUNTANT (1 POST) – DAR ES SALAAM

Reports to: Head of Finance Section

Reports to job holder: None


Job purpose: To provide cashier services to the company


QUALIFICATIONS:


• Bachelors Degree/Advances Diploma in Accountancy or equivalent qualifications from a recognized training institution.


• Working experience of at least one year in a similar position


• Knowledge and skills on computer usage


• Fluent in English and Kiswahili


DUTIES:


2. Record cash received in relevant books of accounts;


3. Bank daily cash collection promptly


4. Prepare daily cash receipts summaries


5. Effect payment by cheques and cash


6. Establish cash positions on a weekly basis and prepare petty cash summary for review by Head of Finance Section.


7. Maintain proper records of all types of cash/cheque receipts and cash/cheque disbursements,


8. Perform any other related duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
