DETRA-Africa has over the years been a leader in providing training and capacity building solutions to other organizations and the private sector across the developing world. The organization has a team of dedicated staff and associates across the world to meet the growing demand for its services.
In line with this we have received a request from one of our clients to facilitate training on fundraising and grants management in Kenya. We are therefore looking to hire the services of an experienced fundraising and grants management Trainer for a 7 days assignment.
Title: Fundraising and Grants Management Trainer
Location: Kenya
Qualifications - Minimum of Master degree in the social science, accounts, economics or related area.
- Minimum of three years of relevant work experience in fundraising and grants management with NGOs and/or donor organizations.
-Experience in Training and facilitation of grants management, fundraising and resource mobilization in the region.
-Experience in building the capacity of organizations and community institutions
- Understanding of resource mobilization strategies in Africa.
-Knowledge of donor trends and requirements in Africa.
- One should have understanding and abilities of motivating community groups and an excellent understanding of participatory methodologies and tools.
- Understanding and experience in the inclusion of cross cutting issues in programming i.e. gender, HIV/AIDS, environmental issues.
- Excellent communication, presentation, administration and organization skills.
- Excellent in English speaking and reporting.
- Result oriented, Pro-active and inventive.
