Vacancy for a Store manager - Euro Health Southern Sudan

Euro Health is a Danish-based health consultancy firm and not-for-profit group working mainly within the field of health care providing technical assistance and support across the globe. Our projects emphasize solid planning and management based on participatory approaches that strive to reach consensus between all relevant stakeholders including the beneficiaries and build their capacity while fostering a sense of ownership. Established in 1990, Euro Health has successfully implemented over 200 projects under agreements with all major bilateral and multilateral development agencies in Africa, Asia, the Middle East, South East Europe and the countries of the former Soviet Union. Euro Health has developed an extensive worldwide collaborative network, with links to Universities, research institutions, schools of public health and professionals.

Euro Health has been contracted to operate as both health commodities supply chain agent and capacity building agent for the United Nations Development Programme in Southern Sudan. The project is funded by the Global Fund to fight against Aids/HIV, Tuberculosis and Malaria.

For this project, Euro Health has the following vacant position to be Store Manager, based in Juba, Southern Sudan.

GENERAL RESPONSABILITIES

The Store Manager is responsible to manage reception, control, storage and preparation of orders according to the good pharmaceutical practices. The Store Manager will be under the supervision of the Supply Chain coordinator. He will manage the storekeepers and cleaners in the pharmaceutical warehouse.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS:

  1. To manage supervisees

  • To participate in the monthly department meeting and weekly meeting.
  • To annually review and report the performance of his/her supervisees.
  • To propose and improve the overall operations of the service.

  1. Manage the reception of goods in the Juba warehouse

  • To supervise the storekeepers in the reception of orders with respect of the good pharmaceutical practices

· To issue with the appropriate document (Consignment Reception Report...)

  1. Manage the preparation of orders for implementing partners

  • To organise the schedule of the orders to be prepared in coordination with the Supply chain coordinator.
  • To participate and supervise the storekeepers in the preparation of orders with the respect of the good pharmaceutical practices (FEFO, expiry date…)
  • To check the orders contents and write and issue the shipment documentation.

  1. To ensure a good stock management

  • To ensure a good stock management with stock management software.
  • To advice on organisation and storage of goods within the warehouse.
  • To participate in the scheduled inventories and its reconciliation with the stock management system.
  • To ensure a close follow up and update of stock management software entries
  • To prepare statistics on drug consumption, globally and individually for each implementing partner, by pharmaceutical group, by product and by time period (with the aid of the drug management software.)

  1. Ensure respect of Good Pharmaceutical Practices and Quality Assurance in the warehouse.

· To ensure a high standard of cleanliness and order in the store

· To ensure the integrity of products in term of quality, expiry dates, packaging and appropriate storage

  • To report any deviation to Good Pharmaceutical Practices and Quality Assurance in the warehouse.
  • To perform monthly the auto-inspection of the warehouse according to the checklist and the related procedure.

Requirements:

  • Sudanese citizenship required. Women are strongly encouraged to apply.

· Qualified pharmacist preferred.

· Knowledge validated by a diploma in logistics or supply chain management

  • At least two years experience in logistics/supply chain activities.
  • Good organization skills
  • Computer skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Fluent in English
  • Sense of initiative.
