ICCO is a Dutch inter-church organisation for development co-operation. Together with its partner organisations in Asia, Africa, Latin America, Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Central Asia, ICCO works towards a world without poverty and injustice. ICCO's partner organisations comprise local church-based and secular, non-governmental development organisations who stimulate people to create a just and save living environment for themselves and for others.
ICCO has worked throughout Sudan for many years with a range of partner organizations. ICCO funded projects and undertook lobby and advocacy and more recently started systematically investing in capacity building of civil society in Sudan and in programme management.
ICCO Sudan seeks for a qualified and a dynamic candidate for the position of:
PROJECT MANAGER – UPPER NILE.
Duty station: Pagak, with frequent travel to other locations.
Duration: 1 year renewable depending on availability of funds.
Starting date: as soon as possible
Indication of Tasks
- Project management
- Planning, reporting and monitoring
- Financial management
- Liaison and representation work
- Capacity building of partner organization
Requirements:
- Must be a Sudanese by nationality and at list able to speak arabic or the local language.
- Has a knowledge of the area with at least 5 years practical experience in development programmes, preferably in Sudan or in the Horn of Africa.
- Strong experience with project management (planning, implementation, reporting, monitoring), and financial management is required.
- Experience in working with community based organizations
- Proficient in MS Office suite
- Highly ethical attitude towards work
- Must be willing to work under difficult circumstances where security is not guaranteed.
