University of Nairobi - School of Business - Professor, Barclays Bank Endowed Chair - Department of Finance and Accounting

The School of Business, University of Nairobi is recognized for merit and achievement of its graduates and faculty.

The programmes of the School include the Undergraduate, B.Com programmes, MBA and Ph.D.

The School is looking for a person who will fill the position of Professor in the areas of Accounting and Finance, especially for the MBA and Ph.D programmes.

The School has received funds from Barclays Bank Ltd to establish an endowed Chair in Finance and Accounting. This fund will be over and above the normal professorial salary and benefits offered by the University.

Requirement

The successful candidate who should be a holder of a Ph.D degree in Finance or
Accounting with a minimum experience of ten years teaching at University level with an excellent publication record in the field of Finance or Accounting will be expected to offer academic leadership in the Department of Finance and Accounting.

He or she will expected to be an active participant in a team championing teaching and research in Finance and Accounting.

Remuneration

The University will offer a competitive salary and benefits which will include the Barclays endowed fund as well as the current salary and benefits of a professorial position of the University of Nairobi.

University of Nairobi offers an attractive salary package including a basic salary of the range between Kshs. 5,656,000 to Kshs. 5,987,200 p.a. and house allowance of Kshs. 774,000 p.a. plus other fringe benefit (1USD = Kshs 75)
