TMG Ltd – Media, Communication, Marketing Executive Recruitment

TMG Ltd is a young and dynamic Media, Communications and Marketing firm with growth potential.

In anticipation of expansion within the company and its subsidiaries the following positions will become available from 1st February 2010.

Terms will be negotiated with successful candidates.

Chief Finance Officer

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the CFO will head the department of Finance and Planning. The Chief Finance Officer must be a holder of a University Degree in Finance with proven strength in accounting, budgeting and financial reporting.

The candidate must also be a registered member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants (K).

The ideal candidate for this position should have at least 5 years experience in a busy finance department.

The successful candidate must demonstrate ability to create sound financial management systems for a company which is being reorganized and inculcate values of probity across the department.

Chief Internal Auditor

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Internal Auditor will be responsible for strict compliance and adherence to financial best practice. Applicants to this position must be holders of a Bachelor of Commerce Degree (Accounting Option) or its equivalent from a recognized university.

In addition applicants must have Certified Internal Auditor qualifications and a minimum of 5 years experience in a busy audit environment.

Credit Controller

Reporting to the Chief Finance Officer the credit controller will be key to the management of a healthy cash flow.

Responsibilities of the credit controller will include, among others ensuring credit terms to suppliers and customers are strictly observed.

The credit controller will help the company establish a credit policy which will be communicated to staff, customers and service providers.

The Credit controller will be a qualified accountant with experience in credit control and debt collection.

Head of Human Resources

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Head of Human Resources will be responsible for the management of all aspects of the company's people including recruitment, deployment, development, welfare and discipline.

The holder of this position must have at least one degree in management and a minimum of a diploma in HR.

Being a team business the company requires that the Head of HR demonstrates the ability to create, coordinate and inspire teams, while pushing them to realize their fullest group and personal potentials.

Manager, Brand Marketing and Distribution

The Manager, Marketing and distribution will oversee all the key sales and marketing functions of the company including advertising and circulation.

Applicants to this position must be self driven and results oriented individuals able to work with and motivate teams.

Successful applicants must be holders of a degree in marketing and be members of the Marketing Society of Kenya.

In addition applicants must demonstrate ability to network with ad agencies, corporates and government. A minimum of 3 years experience in successful marketing is a key requirement.

Sales and Marketing Executives

A number of positions are available to gifted aggressive sales and marketing individuals. Successful applicants will be assigned specific market segments in public and private sectors.

Preference will be given to applicants with degrees in sales and marketing related fields; but beyond academic qualifications candidates will be tested for requisite attributes like persuasiveness, networking, results orientation and capacity to close the deal.

At least two years of experience is required.

Graphic Designers

Applicants to these positions will be holders of at least one degree in design and top end competence working with a wide range of design software packages including Indesign, photoshop, Adobe illustrator, among others.

Applicants must be versatile in changing design environments from magazines, newsletters, newspaper and books and must be prepared for high octane, tight deadline assignments.

Events Manager

The Events Manager is expected to spearhead the company's events business including sourcing, planning and executing corporate events to the highest industry standards. Candidates for this position are therefore expected to be mature, disciplined and self driven with a minimum of one degree in relevant fields.

A masters degree in business, especially marketing would be an added advantage.

Be a minimum of three years experience organizing sensitive, high level events is mandatory.
