Equity Bank Jobs: Assistant Communication Manager

Currently the Bank is seeking additional talent to serve in the roles outlined below:-

Assistant Communication Manager

The role holder will be responsible for supporting the Bank communication strategies, events management, public relations issues and managing the web and intranet content.

Candidate’s Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience
  • A degree in Mass Communication from a recognized university
  • Professional training in communication, digital communication , video production and public relations
  • Over 5 year experience in a large media organization or in communication function in an established organization
  • Thorough knowledge in communication, event management and public relations
Key Responsibilities
  • Developing features/editing content and articles for outside publications such as magazines and newsletters and for media uptake, both print and broadcast
  • Website and intranet content management
  • Generate audio visual content for internal and external use
  • Generate PR content for Bank’s key projects for both internal and external stakeholders
  • Participate in organizing Bank events
Desired Skills and Ability
  • Web content development skills
  • Ability to script stories for radio, video and print production
  • Ability to record and produce audio visual content using advanced editing softwares
  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
  • Ability to work under pressure within tight deadlines and with minimal supervision
  • Excellent organization & planning skills
  • Team play
  • Working knowledge of computers
