The Association for the Physically Disabled of Kenya (APDK) is a Non -Governmental Organization providing rehabilitation services to persons with disabilities.
We wish to recruit a Social worker to support the Nairobi Branch Rehabilitation Clinic which offers Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Orthopeadic Technology services to persons with special needs majority of whom are children with special needs.

We wish to recruit a Social worker to support the Nairobi Branch Rehabilitation Clinic which offers Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Orthopeadic Technology services to persons with special needs majority of whom are children with special needs.
Main tasks include, but not limited to:
- Assess the social needs of the clients , evaluate client concern and draw a strategical intervention plan for psychosocial support.
- Facilitate the placement of children with special needs in learning institutions.
- Providing counseling services to clients.
- Networking and collaborating with appropriate stakeholders.
- Prepares narrative and statistical reports, documents and correspondence regarding client documents case files.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Social Work and Counseling from a recognized institution with
- At least two years working experience in the disability sector preferably at the community level
- Understanding of the concept of community development.
- Demonstrated ability in advocacy, partnership
- Be 25 years and above
- Self motivated and able to work with persons with disabilities
- Be a team player.
