Finance Officer
based in Rumbek / Southern Sudan.

DKH seeks to recruit a suitably qualified individual to fill the following position:
Finance Officer
based in Rumbek / Southern Sudan.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintaining books of accounts in accounting software and supporting documentation to comply with international standards of accounting
- Review and approval of cash/bank payments and bank reconciliations
- Assist in the preparation of monthly payroll by providing information on staff advances and other deductions that may affect payroll
- Donor reporting: studying of donor contracts and preparation of financial reports in the required formats
- Detailed records and reconciliation of debtors and creditors
- Constructive participation in the management team in Sudan
Qualifications:
- University degree in business and CPA (K) or ACCA affiliate
- At least three years of experience in managing finances and the administration of development and emergency programs
- Ability to relate to people and institutions across a broad spectrum including church leaders, government and military officials as well as international donor agencies
- Awareness of the general political, economic and development dynamics of the region
- Strong organisational and management skills
- Experience in computer applications such as Microsoft Office and QuickBooks, and other accounting software
- Able to supervise, support and motivate staff
- Willingness and ability to work in Southern Sudan
