Adventist Development and Relief Agency - Sudan Southern Sector (ADRA SSS) a non-governmental international organization is seeking to fill the position of Project Accountant.

Main Role:
This position is responsible for the financial management (planning, budget support, accounting and reporting) of assigned projects.
The role is to provide leadership to the project finance team in the financial management.

- Accurate accounting
- Bank A/C manage
- Accurate and timely monthly reporting. Responsibilities and Duties:
- Make sure that alt financial transaction are carried out and recorded in accordance with standard financial procedures of the organization.
- Preparation of accounts and reports of projects,
- Provide financial/budget information, monitoring expenditures, Identifying variances, and assisting in implementation of correctives actions.
- Monitor cash flow, and ensure that sufficient funds are always available in the program areas.
- Maintains financial security and ensure implementation of internal accounting controls,
- Project organization's value and adhere to the information management policies of the institute.
- Ensure that procedures and controls are implemented; financial systems are maintained and regularly update.
- Manage reconciliation of accounts, and the transfer of funds between head-office to the filed offices.
- Assist in the preparation of budget.
- Ensure that monthly report is submitted to the Finance Director for budget monitoring.
- Assist in internal/donor audit and financial monitoring.
- Make sure taxes and other statutory deductions are made and are reported to relevant authorities,
- Supervise the work of accounts assistants in head offices; including cash books vouchers and book-keeping process.
- Ensure that financial reporting target dates are met and adequate information is made available in time.
- Assist in preparation of financial reports for donors.
- Assist in training, scheduling, coaching, planning, monitoring and appraising the work of accounts assistants.
Qualifications required:
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting or its equivalent or qualified member of a recognized accounting professional association.
- At least 2 years and above experience of independent handling of accounts.
- Experienced in monitoring, supervision and coaching of finance team.
- Familiarity with accounting packages.
- Proven skills In meeting targets, problem solving, pressure handling and conflict resolution,
- Good computer skills in other MS office applications.
- Good communication and inter-personal skills
- Command on spoken and written English
- Team player.
These positions are purely Juba based
