Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain Management, the successful candidate's overall responsibility will be managing the purchasing and disposal processes.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Participating in developing and reviewing procurement policies and procedures
- Carrying out planning and projection of procurement needs of the Service
- Coordinating procurement operations
- Developing and preparation of tender documentation
- Analyzing market and delivery conditions to determine competitiveness of bids
- Preparing notices for advertising of tenders
Job Requirements
- Bachelors' degree in Commerce, Economics, Business Administration or equivalent from a recognized University.
- Diploma in Purchasing and Supplies Management obtained from CIPS, ISM or equivalent is an added advantage.
- Five (5) years experience in a senior position in a comparable organization.
- Strong ICT skills
- Working knowledge of Public Procurement and Disposal Procedures.
- Be in possession of valid Certificate of Good Conduct (2009) obtained from the CID.
