Kenya Wildlife Service Jobs: Procurement Manager

Kenya Wildlife Service is a State Corporation, whose responsibility is to manage and conserve wildlife in Kenya.

The Service seeks to recruit dynamic, innovative and experienced individual to fill the following position at its headquarters in Nairobi.

Procurement Manager - One (1) Post

Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain Management, the successful candidate's overall responsibility will be managing the purchasing and disposal processes.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Participating in developing and reviewing procurement policies and procedures
  • Carrying out planning and projection of procurement needs of the Service
  • Coordinating procurement operations
  • Developing and preparation of tender documentation
  • Analyzing market and delivery conditions to determine competitiveness of bids
  • Preparing notices for advertising of tenders
Job Requirements
  • Bachelors' degree in Commerce, Economics, Business Administration or equivalent from a recognized University.
  • Diploma in Purchasing and Supplies Management obtained from CIPS, ISM or equivalent is an added advantage.
  • Five (5) years experience in a senior position in a comparable organization.
  • Strong ICT skills
  • Working knowledge of Public Procurement and Disposal Procedures.
  • Be in possession of valid Certificate of Good Conduct (2009) obtained from the CID.
