Requirements
- University Degree.
- Minimum 5 years experience in business management.
- Some food background (ideally baking)
- Be able to work independently.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Computer literate.
- Kenyan citizen.
- Of high integrity.
- Good people skills.
- ISO conversant.
- Age: 30-45yrs.
Duties will include:
- Managing all in-house staff of approximately 20. Production staff minimum 15 pax and minimum sales staff of 5 pax.
Sales
- Ensure availability of optimal stock levels of sales items at branches at all times to avoid stock out and expiries.
- Oversee sales staff and ensure records are accurate and sales maximised.
- Marketing of products
- Systematically sample products to increase awareness and sales
- Collect market intelligence to optimise product mix and maximise sales.
- Analyse sales reports for guidance to growth and improvement.
- Collect and analyse customer input
- Ensure fully engaged sales staff that will work optimally.
Production
- Ensure efficient production systems and optimal output
- Oversee and ensure accuracy in and record keeping of:
- Raw material stock counts and levels
- Baked items stock in the bakery
- Items delivered to branches / received from branches
- Minimize loss in production caused by damages, negligence, pilferage or non-production (lost sales).
- Rotational in-house training of all personnel to ensure continuity of work regardless of staff offs or illness and encourage multi-tasking
- Analyse daily production figures to assess loss in yield, reasons and remedies.
- Systematically age all products with concise records on the same.
- Systematically alter recipes with a view to improve the products and/or reduce costs.
- New products.
Quality Control
- Ensure recipes and methods are followed accurately to give uniform, high quality products at all times.
- Routine and random checks of items produced on KPIs.
- Hygiene and cleanliness of all personnel and equipment at all times.
Branch Deliveries
- Ensure complete and timely delivery of orders to all branches.
- Maintain clear records of movement of products and crates in and out of bakery.
- Maintain and monitor vehicle and driver movement through a log.
Equipment
- Ensure ongoing in-house maintenance of all equipment.
- Oversee monthly contracted service of machines to confirm full and proper service carried out.
- Wash / clean all equipment regularly on a schedule.
- Equipment stock count quarterly.
Purchasing
- Oversee stock levels and purchase or make requisition for stock items required.
Personnel (HR)
- Instil teamwork, good work ethics and attitude and discipline at all times among workers.
- Hygiene
- Achieve optimum output from the staff
- Manage work and leave rotas, off days.
- Be well conversant with labour laws
- Systems to monitor staff movement in and out of work station / bakery.
- Ensure staff not abusing privileges or bending company regulations.
- Other personnel issues.
- To receive and deal with visits from government officers (health, labour, KEBs etc.)\
