Three Green Apples Consulting Jobs: Sales Manager

Our client, a leading internet access and communications solutions provider, is looking to fill the position of Sales Manager.

Reporting to the Managing Director, the purpose of this position is to provide leadership and direction in the generation of revenue and growth of the company.

The main responsibilities of this role include:
  • Contributing to the development and achievement of corporate goals; development of sales strategies and tactics; establishment of performance targets for the respective sales units; continuous monitoring of the implementation of sales plans and taking necessary action to ensure targets are consistently met and/or exceeded.
  • Determining pricing schedules and promotional offers without compromising profitability.
  • Developing and leading a team of professional sales and account executives who continuously achieve and/or exceed established targets.
  • Identifying opportunities to create new/enhanced products and services that will expand business opportunities for both the customer and the company.
  • Establishing close working relationships with technical and customer service teams to ensure the customer receives outstanding service.
  • Maintaining an updated and detailed knowledge database of all company products and services; working with marketing to produce appropriate customer information; working with human resources to develop appropriate staff induction and training material.
  • Keeping abreast of developments in the industry including competitors’ activities and developing strategies to capitalize on opportunities and minimize any negative impact on achievement of the company’s objectives.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years experience in a sales or marketing function with at least two years spent in a managerial capacity.

He/she will be a graduate, with certification from the Chartered Institute of Marketing and preferably a Masters degree in business administration or strategic management.

Working knowledge of ICT industry will be an added advantage.

The successful candidate will be highly results driven, with a track record of success in leading a sales function and will demonstrate an outstanding knowledge of the sales process.

He/she will have a strong bias towards action and resolving issues quickly and will demonstrate an ability to cope with pressure.

The ideal candidate will be seasoned in P&L development; trend analysis; planning, forecasting and reporting; and market and competitive research and intelligence.

He/she will demonstrate the ability to anticipate customers’ needs and provide gainful insight and practical solutions to various business challenges.

An experienced manager, the ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic, pragmatic and energetic hands-on individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and with the ability to build relationships, influence and motivate employees.

Our client is offering a competitive market-rate base salary with a variable/bonus payable on achievement of set targets, plus benefits.
