The Aga Khan Academy, Mombasa Jobs:

The Aga Khan Academies are an integrated network of day/residential schools being developed in Africa, South and Central Asia, and the Middle East with the mission of educating future leaders in their respective countries.

With a current enrolment of 580 students from Grades 1 to 12 and a teaching staff of 77 (80% Kenyan), the Aga Khan Academy, Mombasa, is the first Academy in this international network and also the first school in Kenya to offer ail three International Baccalaureate programmes.

The residential programme began in April 2009, and the Academy now recruits students from across Kenya and East Africa.

The Head of Academy is the intellectual, pedagogical, and moral leader of the Academy; a magnet for quality; and a builder of teams.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
  • Excellent academic credentials (post-graduate degree);
  • A record of success and innovation as a classroom teacher, plus at least five years of senior administrative experience;
  • A record of attracting, developing, and motivating outstanding professionals of diverse backgrounds;
  • Integrity and strength of character;
  • Excellent organisational and financial management skills.
