Territory Manager- Food & Bevarages Division East Africa

The group delivers comprehensive programs and services to foodservice, food and beverage processing, healthcare, and hospitality markets in more than 160 countries

Our client has a vacancy for a Territory Manager- Food & Beverages Division East Africa

Role Purpose- Retaining, growing, gaining customers by servicing & marchadising services and sales portifolio

This position, based in Kenya, will be reporting to the East Africa F&Bevarages sales manager. The position will be responsible for sales and service within Kenya mainly focusing on Beverage industry and food processing industry.

Accountabilities

Sales & Customer Relationship Management

    * Identify and develop new prospects
    * Regular customer visits to build long term relationships
    * Identify new application areas and optimisation of existing processes by carrying out surveys
    * Introduce new programs and service concepts to customers
    *  Preparation and presentation of offers
    * Manage internal interfaces as required (R&D, Application & Sales support)

Territory Planning

    * Constantly monitor markets / customers / competitors to establish territory planning
    * Regulary review sales progress (minimum monthly) with respect to customers, programs, products

Execute Service Strategy

    * Provide professional consultancy on
          o Chemical/technical & application issues
          o Optimisation of systems and hygiene procedures
    * Execute and control field trials and provide appropriate reporting
    * Deliver appropriate training
    * Establish, verify & document hygiene plans and their parameters

Reporting

    * Monthly progress reports to Manager
    * Sales / Service call report to Manager, respectively to customer if applicable
    * Establish an annual, monthly, weekly sales plan as well as weekly activity plan

Performance Indicators

    * Achievement of targets
          o Sales
          o Profitability
          o Product mix
          o Projects (on time, on budget)
          o ration of lost / gained customers (in terms of value and retention rate)
          o Quality of planning and reporting (on time, accuracy)
          o Customer feedback (satisfaction)

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

    * Proven sales experience with clear sales and service ''attitude''
    * Technical, chemical and process knowledge / schooling in related industries / areas
    * Good presentation and communication skills
    * Computer literacy
    * Preferably English language skills
    * Driving licence
    * People with chemistry degree, and sales skills, and who have worked in production divisions of Food & Beverage industry have a distinct advantage

This is a senior position within the organisation. Remuneration package is structured to reflect the level of seniority and resposibility that attaches to this position.
