Public Relations Officer
Duties and Responsibilities
The holder of the position will be reporting to the Chief Manager Corporate planning and be responsible for the following functions:-
- Building and maintaining good corporate image of the Board.
- Articulation of the Boards position on various issues to the public.
- Development and implementation of public relations activities in the Board.
- Planning and executing external communication including a proactive media relations strategy.
- Developing communication materials, stocking and maintaining the Resource Centre.
- Preparing publications of newsletters and other Board information.
- Co-ordination of corporate events and handling of protocol matters.
- Co-ordination of Corporate Social responsibility activities.
The successful candidate should have the following qualifications:-
- A Bachelors’ Degree in Journalism or Mass Communication with at least 6 years experience as a Public Relations Officer in a busy institution;
- Be in possession of Post Graduate Diploma in Mass Communication
- Have demonstrated high professional skills in public relations
- Have good interpersonal relations and be fluent in both written and spoken English and Kiswahili.
- Be proficient in Information Technology skills.
Administration Officer
Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be reporting to the Manager Human Resources and Administration and be responsible for:-
- General administration which includes, management of transport services, security services, telephone services, cleaning services, office administration and registry services.
- Perform Human Resource functions such as training, planning, labour relations, recruitment, management of staff medical scheme and other welfare issues.
- Maintenance of good work environment, occupational health and safety standards and handling other cross cutting issues of administrative nature.
For appointment to this post the successful candidate should:-
- Have a Degree in social sciences, Business Administration or an equivalent degree from a recognized University.
- Have a relevant Post Graduate qualification such as Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management or at least CPS II.
- Have experience of at least 8 years in performing Administration and Human Resource management duties in a busy organization.
- Be proficient in the use of Human Resource Management Information System.
