Reporting to the Managing Director, the incumbent will assist in the formulation and coordination of the corporate strategy as well as develop and implement the financial management strategy
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the Corporation’s strategic plans and ensure timely implementation of the financing strategies.
- Manage the financial reporting function to ensure monthly, quarterly, annual and management reports are accurate and ensure timely decision making
- Secure funding for the Corporation’s activities at the most competitive rates.
- Ensure optimum and effective working capital management
- Acts as chief liaison with external auditors
- Ensure overall responsibility of 100% tax compliance by the Corporation including review of tax returns at year-end.
- Ensure compliance and adherence to company policies, procedures and systems and statutory requirements
- Advisor to the Government on economic aspects of oil exploration and production
- Manage the Corporation’s financial management and reporting (including performance contracts)
- Ensure the protection and growth of the Corporation’s assets
The Person
- University Degree preferably in Commerce or Finance
- A Master’s degree will be an added advantage.
- 5 – 8 years experience in Senior Management level in a Commercial Business environment
- Knowledge of the Petroleum Sector would be an added advantage
- Should have excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
- High proficiency in ICT is mandatory
- An energetic, self driven person of impeccable integrity and honesty
- Results oriented and energetic, ready to lead, coach and mentor a young and dynamic team
- Demonstrable experience in ERP management
