Kisindi Lodge & Spa - Waiter (M/F):

Profile :
We are looking for a Loyal, punctual and outgoing person who is able to adapt to guests of different walks of life. The incumbent should be well groomed and presentable able to communicate clearly with guests. The incumbent values team work and is flexible. Accuracy and drive to excel are a must. Since the incumbent will be handling cash and other valuables proven record of honesty and integrity are part of the selection procedure.
Requirements:
  • Fluent command in English and Kiswahili both written and spoken
  • Willingness and ability to learn fast
  • Easily adaptable to new situations and guests
  • Well groomed and able to present him/ herself well
  • Able to control situations with confidence
  • Work well under pressure
  • Able to deal with guest complaints and communicate effectively
  • Experience in the hospitality industry preferably in a similar setting is an added advantage.
  • Valid Municipal health certificate
Responsibilities:
  • Welcome guests in a friendly and welcoming manner within the set standards
  • Take accurate orders in the prescribed manner
  • Serve food and beverages according to the set standards
  • Keep records of guests consumption and bill accurately
  • Perform accurate daily shift stock takings and hand over accordingly
  • Communicate effectively with other departments and colleagues about relevant issues.
  • Be observant to guests needs and react on them promptly and adequately
  • Be well groomed and presentable at all times while at the duty station.
  • Maintain proper cleanliness of the restaurant, front office, bar and terraces assist other departments in maintaining standards of cleanliness.
  • Follow instructions promptly and accurately
  • The culture of your duty station is one of multitasking. You may be required to perform duties outside of your regular area of operation. Reasonable request need to be followed whenever the organizational need requires so and done within team spirit.
Reporting to: Manager/ or deputy manager
Job class: J2: P 1 – 8
Compensation: Minimum Ksh. Minimum wage Maximum Ksh. 11,608/=
Work station: Kisindi Lodge & Spa
