Child Protection Officer – Community Outreach
(1 position based Daadab. 8 month contract from May 2010)
Successfully initiate, oversee and support the implementation of Child Protection strategies and activities, mobilization and sensitization, coordinating and providing guidance to Community Child Protection Workers.
Person Specification
Undergraduate degree in social work/social sciences or equivalent with preferably 1 year work experience in social work with INGO or similar. Knowledge of community based Child Protection approaches, participatory approaches (PRA/PLA) and child participation methodologies. Fluent in English and Swahili, knowledge of Somali language an added advantage. Closing date 12th May 2010.
Construction Engineer
(1 position based Dadaab. 6 month contract from May 2010)
Responsible for ensuring quality/quantity of construction materials, monitoring the execution, quality control and structural integrity of the Dadaab Office and residential complex, Police female accommodation and repair/rehabilitation of CFS centres.
Person Specification
Qualified civil/construction engineering or architecture with atleast 3 years professional construction engineering experience with evidence of previous consultancy work, work contracts and tender procedures. Fluent in English and Swahili. Closing date 12th May 2010.
