The Authority’s mandate is to promote and facilitate investment for both domestic and international investors. The Authority is seeking to recruit suitable candidates for the following positions.
Research, Policy Advocacy and Planning Department
Manager – ICT
(1 Position)
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the General Manager (Research, policy Advocacy and Planning) the responsibilities will include:
- Developing, establishing and implementing ICT services delivery strategies and procedures.
- Coordinating ICT services and acting as liaison between users and other departments.
- Co-coordinating systems design and writing computer programmes for application.
- Identifying areas of automation and implementing office automation projects.
- Reviewing ICT policy in line with demands of the Authority.
- Facilitating and training computer system users in the Authority.
- Ensuring timely implementation and effective maintenance of systems.
- Ensuring adherence to established performance, systems development and implementation.
- Frequent update and provision of relevant information on KenIvest website.
- A Master Degree from accredited institution in Computer Science, Information Technology.
- Professional Qualification e.g. Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE) or certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
- 6 years of professional experience in computer system, three of which must be in administrative and supervisory level in a busy organization.
- Advanced technical knowledge and skills relevant for managing a networked environment.
- Member of an IT Professional body.
- Knowledge of the business private sector environment an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Manager (Policy Advocacy).The key responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Designing customized incentives to facilitate the attraction, retention and expansion of domestic, regional and international investors.
- Carry out aggressive investment policy advocacy.
- Assess the country’s performance in generating and attracting new investments.
- Networking with all stakeholders for co-operation in areas of investment opportunities
- Bachelor’s Degree in law, Economics or Mathematics.
- Have a clear understanding of national priorities and be able to translate them into investment opportunities.
- Possess excellent coordination and teamwork skills.
Senior Business Development Officer
(1 Position)
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Manager (Business Development).
The key responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Receiving and analyzing customer complaints.
- Collate and prepare documents for assistance to the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
- Review business opportunities across Kenya.
- Prepare work schedules as required.
- Maintain the Authority’s market intelligence.
- Provide advice on areas of unique opportunities.
- Create and maintain appropriate business relationships with stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Business Administration or similar qualifications from a recognized institution.
- Knowledge of Computer software data analysis packages.
- Possess excellent teamwork skills.
- Minimum of two (2) years experience.
- Ability to work well under pressure and with short deadlines.

The key responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Production of promotional materials.
- Organize domestic, regional and international workshops, seminars and conferences.

Regional Manager, Mombasa
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the General Manager (Investor Services), the Key responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Evaluating and appraising projects for approvals and licenses
- Facilitation of required approvals, licenses, permits and other authorizations from relevant authorities
- Facilitate connections of new investments to basic services and facilities
- Preparing new projects for issuance of the Investment certificates
- Managing and providing information on investment sites
- Managing up linkage programmes for various database for joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions
- Drawing up linkage programme for various stakeholders
(1 Position)
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Manager (Investor Services – After Care).
The key responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Provide efficient and effective after-care services to new and existing investments.
- Creation of well thought out after care programmes.
- Coordinate tracking of approved projects.
- Giving frequent feedback on issues raised on business environment
- Coordinate creation of investments committees.
- Develop an inventory of collapsed projects to facilitate their promotion and revival
- Develop linkages between businesses especially in industrial sub- contracting.
- Bachelors Degree in Economics, Businesses Administration or similar qualifications from a recognised institution.
- Knowledge of Computer software data analysis packages.
- Possess excellent teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of how a One-Stop-Shop operates will be an added advantage

Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Manager (Investor Services – Project analysis).
The key responsibilities will include but not limited to:

Procurement Manager

Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the General Manager (Finance and Administration).
The key responsibilities shall include:
- Monitor the trends of stores and work out re-order levels
- Undertake market surveillance on process of goods and services
- Ensure efficient management and distribution of stores.
- Participate in receiving and opening of tender documents
- Prepare tender documents in liaison with user departments
- Participate in evaluation of tenders, proposals and quotations
- Prepare documents for the tender committee meetings
- Prepare contract documents in line with award decision.
- Identify unserviceable stores and recommending for disposal in line with procurement regulations.

Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Finance Manager.
The key responsibilities shall include:
- Book-keeping
- Preparation of the Final Accounts
- Ensuring timely Reconciliation
- Establish stringent expenditure control procedures to ensure proper authorization of payments and ensuring that any expenditures incurred is supported by payment vouchers and other valid accounting documents and budgetary allocation.
- Analyze financial information detailing assets, liabilities and capital and preparing financial statements and other reports to summarize current and projected financial position in order to ensure availability of funds to implement planned activities.
- Implement computerized financial information systems to cover general ledger, job casting as well as fixed assets management register for documenting acquisitions, maintenance, valuation, depreciation, capitalization, replacement and disposal of assets.
- Monitor and track the utilization of capital and operational expenditure against approved plans and ensure any variances are justified in accordance with approved policies and procedures.

The key responsibilities shall include:
- Manage and maintain the HR database.
- Participate and co-ordinate the recruitment and selection process and promotions.

- Ensure provision of office supplies and equipment.
- Coordination of repairs of office equipment
- Bachelors Degree in Human Resource Management or Social Sciences from an accredited institution

The key responsibilities shall include:
- Overseeing the operations of the Registry

- Prepare and submit budget estimates for registry services.
- Initiate design / revision of Records management policies , procedures and regulations

Executive Administrative Assistant – Executive Secretary

Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Managing Director.
The key responsibilities shall include:
- Undertake secretarial services
- Provide high level administrative support to the Managing Director
- Manage the Managing Director’s time to ensure efficient prioritization and time management.
- Create and maintain the confidential files registry.
- Plan and schedule meetings and appointments for the Managing Director
- Manage the budget for Managing Director’s office
- Keeping abreast of everything in the Managing Director’s realm of responsibility and acting as a liaison with the departments to ensure flow of information.

Reporting to the Audit Committee of the Board through the Managing Director.
The key responsibilities shall include:
- Developing, reviewing and implementing audit systems, techniques and procedures
- Undertaking comprehensive audits on utilization of resources.
- Ascertaining the correctness of accounting records and preparing audit reports
- Drawing up audit programmes and preparing audit report, queries and observation
- Identifying audit issues and following up to ensure implementation of corrective measure
- MBA Degree (Accounting/Finance option) from an accredited institution
- Post-graduate qualification in Auditing or CPA (k)
- Understanding of Public Accounting procedures

Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Internal Auditor.
The key responsibilities shall include:
- Verifying payment vouchers and Imprest surrender warrants
- Ensure proper book-keeping is carried out.
- Ensure statutory requirements and other regulations are adhered to
- Carry out audit programmes set out by the audit unit.
- Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting/Finance option)
- CPA 2 or other equivalent.
