Our client a Medium Sized Bakery is seeking to recruit a competent and experienced Bakery Manager with a passion for good food and excellent service.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director the successful candidate will manage, motivate and lead a diverse team of people in a high volume, fresh bakery environment.
Key Responsibilities
A Bachelor of Science degree in Food Science or any other relevant discipline; a higher qualification in food processing will be an added advantage, CPA (K) will be an added advantage.
Professional Experience
Over five (5) years experience in a similar position, strong leadership, communication, interpersonal and marketing skills. A passion for food and exceptional customer service.
Remuneration Package
A competitive remuneration package commensurate with the experience will be negotiated with the successful candidate.

- Leading in the development and implementation of appropriate objectives and strategies to enhance profitability and growth
- Identifying markets and opportunities for business growth
- Be knowledgeable of the standards and structures processes required whilst working within food safety standards and legislation
- Ensure continued profitability of the business.
- Evaluate alternate processing methodologies for improvements in products, efficiency, yields and product quality.
- Have detailed knowledge of raw materials specifications and processing including bakery flours, fats, yeast and dough conditioners.
- Strong understanding of the interrelationship of processing equipment and formulation.
- Develop improved methods and systems for food processing, production, quality control, packaging, and distribution.
- Develop food standards, safety and sanitary regulations and waste management.
- Ability to lead and motivate a project team
