We are pleased to announce the following vacancy within the Finance Division. In keeping with our current business needs, we are looking for a person who meets the criteria indicated below:
TAX ACCOUNTANT
REF: FIN – TA – DEC08
Reporting to the Principal Tax Accountant, the person will be responsible for ensuring direct taxes are accurately accounted for and paid to Kenya Revenue authority within the statutory due dates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly foreign withholding tax returns for submission to KRA;
- Prepare monthly local withholding tax returns for submission to KRA;
- Follow up withholding tax certificates to ensure recoverability of withheld taxes;
- Prepare corporation tax computations on a quarterly basis for reporting purposes; file installment and final tax returns as well as annual Self Assessment Returns (SAR);
- Prepare monthly reporting schedules.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor of Commerce degree from a recognized university with a CPA(K) certification or the equivalent;
- 2-3 years Accounting experience preferably in a similar role;
- Experience with Kenyan Tax Legislation;
- Proficient in MS Office and Oracle Financials;
- Ability to work with minimum supervision;
- A diligent worker with good analytical skills;
- A proven team player with good communication and interpersonal skills.
