The Information Division of Safaricom Ltd is seeking to fill in the position of;
SENIOR BSS ANALYST – PINLESS AND ELECTRONIC AIRTIME DISTRIBUTION
REF: - IT-SBSSA-P&EAD-DEC08
Reporting to the Business System Support (BSS) Manager, the incumbent will proved technical leadership support of Airtime distribution systems; - Pinless top-up, Electronic Airtime Distribution (EAD) and Electronic Vouchers.
The profile for the position is detailed below:
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor Pinless, EAD systems and all the interfaces to other applications, proactively identify and resolve problems that may impact end users.
- Provide expert support for Pinless and EAD applications
- Analyze key accounts system requirements and communicate with Developers and Suppliers
- Review support procedures and process
- Document Process and procedures for supporting Pinless and EAD
- Testing of new products, services and technology
- Develop proper test plans with regards to Pinless and EAD.
Minimum Requirements
- Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science or related field
- Microsoft certification: MCSE, MCDBA
- UNIX certification and Oracle DBA training will be an added advantage
- 2 to 3 years experience in a client server environment
- 2 years DBA and / or application support experience
- Programming skills in any 4GL or a functional programming language e.g. SQL
- Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly developed analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to role-model and both customers and fellow team members.
