SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• Planning, developing and implementing PR strategies
• Liaising with colleagues and key spokes people
• Liaising with and answering enquiries from media, individuals and other organizations
• Researching, writing and distributing press releases to target media
• Selecting and analyzing media coverage
• Writing and editing in - house magazines, case studies, speeches, articles and annual reports
• Preparing and supervising the productions of publicity brochures, hand outs, direct mail leaflets, promotional videos, photographs and multi media programs
• Devising and coordinating photo opportunities
• Organizing events including press conferences, exhibitions, open day and press tours
• Maintaining and updating information on the organizations website
• Sourcing and managing speaking and sponsoring opportunity
• Commissioning marketing research
• Fostering community relations through events such as open days and through involvement in community initiatives
• To develop, implement and maintain strong Rex visual branding
• To develop and maintain a "house style" in all written communications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENT
• Diploma / Degree in Marketing or Public relations from an accredited college or University
• Minimum of Five years of working experience in the same field preferably same position
• Fluent in both written and spoken English and Swahili
• Computer literate
• Valid driving Licence will be an added advantage
• Ready and flexible to travel any where in the country
• Capacity to interact positively with all staff and work with minimum supervision
