The successful person will provide a broad range of supervision to ensure smooth provision of health & hygiene support at BGML.
Reporting line: BEAl Exploration Manager and when on site the Principal or Senior Geologist in charge of the site
Location: Tanzania; based at North Mara Mine Site but required to work on exploration projects throughout Tanzania

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:
Land acquisition services to Exploration Projects in Tanzania as specified in SOP SUST001 :
• Community liaison, to obtain orderly community cooperation with exploration.
• Land asset valuation, and payment of compensation for land assets disturbed during M-ploration activities.
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITY (only when not occupied with Exploration activities):
Land acquisition services:
• Securing consent to value
• Valuation assistance during land acquisition exercises
• Reviewing land acquisition field assessment forms, valuation reports, and compensation schedules
• Assisting in compensation payments
OTHER LANDS DUTIES:
• Identification and acquisition of relocation plots
• Grave relocation
• Monitoring acquired land for encroachment
• Resolving grievances
PROFESSIONAL AND INTER-PERSONAL DETAILS Education:
• Diploma in Land Management and Valuation with at least 3 years field work experience on land valuation and compensation in rural areas; or
• Certificate in Land and Management and Valuation with at least 5 years work experience on land valuation and compensation in rural areas
Experience:
• Strong communicatioll and interpersonal skills
• Must have interest in and experience working with rural communities
• Social disputes resolution skills will be an added advantage
• Fluency in Swahili and English languages
• Some fluency in Wakuria language
• Experience in GIS an advantage .
Personal Attributes:
• Ability to work proactively and effectively as a team member.
• Skill in organizing resources and establishing and managing priorities.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Ability to work flexible hours when required
