Business Development Manager

Location: Nairobi, Kenya
Employment Type: Full-Time
SYMPHONY is the largest IT Solution firm in East and Central African region, representing premium hardware and software and service brands.
Symphony is looking for an individual to join our dynamic team, in the following position:
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER – Business Software Solutions
Reporting to the Senior Manager Business Software Solutions, the Business development Manager will be involved in;
Description:

* Developing new business for software solutions and services.
* Managing existing software solutions customers and generating new business within.
* Identifying and fulfilling the market demands for new software solutions and other related services.
* Implementing meaningful and pragmatic business plans and ensuring successful realization of such plans.
* Managing Multiple Technical Teams of highly skilled people to deliver the technical projects successfully.
* Providing direction on current technologies and building appropriate capacity to achieve business objectives.

Requirements:

The person must possess the following qualities:

* Be excited by large value sales opportunities that improve customer operations substantially.
* Ability to innovate and pursue such business opportunities.
* Be curious about understanding the complexities of multiple IT platforms, commonly found in the customer base.
* Ability to work under pressure.
* Capable of creating highly effective offer proposals.

Education and Experience
The ideal candidate for this position should have;

* Degree in Computer Science/ Information Technology.
* At least 8 years relevant experience with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
* Aproven track record in target oriented selling.
* Excellent technical writing skills.
* Strong oral and written skills.
