OSIENALA (Friends of Lake Victoria) is a non-profit National NGO based at Dunga Beach in Kisumu and committed to high quality research and resource management with respect to environmental protection.

OSIENALA invites applications for the post of a Program Officer.

The purpose of the position is to coordinate implementable strategies under the on-going Community based Strategy for the management of the Environment and Resources of Lake Victoria (COSMERLAV).

The position is open to citizens of East Africa

Applicants should be mature professionals with a solid background in environmental management.

Other required qualifications include:
* A good University degree preferably at postgraduate level
* Excellent communication and report writing skills
* Ability to lead and motivate multi-disciplinary team
* Experienced in Project Management at National level
* Effective and efficient use of computer packages in management systems

Successful applicant is expected to assist the program coordinator in managing all activities under COSMER-LAV.
