Bid Notice for Supply, Delivery, Installation and Commissioning of a Scanning Station for the Parliamentary Library

Procurement Reference No: PT/S UPL S/OIB/1 0-11/00310

1. The Parliamentary Commission has allocated funds to be used for the acquisition of a Scanning Station for the Parliamentary Library.

2. The Parliamentary Commission invites sealed bids from eligible bidders to supply, deliver, install and Commission a Scanning Station for the Parliamentary Library.

3. Bidding will be conducted in accordance with the open International Bidding procedures contained in the Government of Uganda’s Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act, 2003 and is open to all bidders from Uganda.

4. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from the Parliamentary Commission and inspect the bidding documents in room 215, 2nd floor, south wing between 9:00am and 4:00pm.

5. A complete set of Bidding Documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on submission of a written application to room 215, 2nd floor, south wing and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Uganda shillings 30,000.

The method of payment will be through Diamond Trust Bank, Kampala Road, next to Western Union. Interested bidders are requested to pick bank advice forms from our cash office, room B24, basement floor, south wing. The document will be picked by the provider from room 215, 2nd floor, south wing. No liability will be accepted for loss or late delivery.

6. Bids must be delivered to room 215, 2nd floor, south wing at or before 3:00pm November 17, 2010. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security of UGX 1,500,000. Late bids shall be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend on November 17, 2010 at 2nd floor, south committee room at 3:10pm.
