Lea Toto is a community based programme dealing with Children living with HIV/AIDS and orphans and Vulnerable Children. The Programme has centres in the Surroundings of Nairobi.
Job summary
This is a full time job with normal working hours.
The incumbent will oversee the smooth running of clinical services throughout the programme as well as a link with the other doctors working with the organization.
Key responsibilities
- Participate in direct clinical services in the different clinics Supervise clinical officers and nurses in the clinics
- Work closely with: pharmacists, nutritionists, and other health care professionals within the programme
- Organise continuing medical education for the staff
- Liaise with local hospitals if children from the programme admitted
- Arrange consultations to paediatricians and other specialists
Qualifications and skills
- A holder of Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery
- Must be registered with the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board
- Strong interpersonal skills
- A team player
- Ability to work without supervision
- Computer skills
- Knowledge of paediatric HIV care will be an advantage
- Be ready to work as soon as possible
- At least one year experience.
