Position Summary:
Creative seeks qualified candidates for Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP) for an upcoming education project in Tanzania. The Deputy Chief of Party will have overall responsibility for the successful implementation of all aspects of the award in Zanzibar or Mtwara, including ensuring timely project implementation and technical reliability, monitoring project activities, and managing project staff and subsidiaries

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in education, international development, or closely related field.
• 5 years of education project implementation experience, preferably in Zanzibar or Mainland Tanzania.
• Experience with USAID education projects preferred.
• Ability to represent the program and Creative to the donor, the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training (MOEVT), all partners and other actors in the absence of the Chief of Party.
• Ability to provide overall strategic guidance to the project.
• Extensive experience in staff supervision and staff professional development .
• Excellent understanding of Zanzibar’s or Mainland Tanzania’s education sectors and their challenges.
• Experience in improving literacy (reading & writing), mathematics and science teaching.
• Experience in Education Management Information Systems (EMIS).
• Fluency in English and Kiswahili.
