Development Media International (DMI) works to promote health in the developing world through the use of media.
DMI is currently seeking an Admin/Finance Assistant as part of an upcoming maternal and child health campaign in Nyanza province. The campaign is funded by the UK Department for International Development (DFID).
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Admin/Finance Assistant will be provide comprehensive administrative and finance support to the DMI office, staff and consultants.
This will include maintaining detailed records of income and project expenditure, preparing basic financial forecasts and monthly financial reports, arranging and supporting meetings and travel, assisting in the procurement of goods and services and developing and maintaining spreadsheets and databases with essential project information. aa
Requirements:
At least three years experience in a similar administrative or financial role. Excellent organisational skills – able to work efficiently, prioritise tasks, and deliver tasks to deadlines. Excellent communication skills and full competency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel. The ability to manage a diverse workload on own initiative is essential. The Admin/Finance Assistant will be based in Kisumu for 9 months.
