Integrated Secure Livelihood - Project Coordinator

Organization: Zinduka Afrika

Working Station: Lamu District (Mukowe)

Job Description: To provide leadership and coordinate in the implementation of ZAF’s Secure Livelihoods program in Lamu. The program was established in the year 2006 with the intention of addressing poverty among the Boni people and the neighboring communities.

Specific Job Responsibilities
  • To Coordinate and Lead in the implementation of the Lamu Integrated Secure Livelihoods Program.
  • In liaison with the Head Officer identify funding gaps and opportunities to strengthen the program
  • Preparation of timely weekly, monthly, quarterly and end of year reports for the program.
  • To carry out procurement of the materials, products and services which are necessary for the implementation of the project(s) as approved by the National Office.
  • Develop work plans and other documents that will result to enhanced strategy in the framework of the program(s).
  • Identify and enhance networking and collaboration in the relevant project(s) area.
  • Carry out awareness raising on the secure livelihoods program activities
  • Mobilize resources/ develop funding proposal for the Program
Key Requirements
  1. Holder of Degree in Social Work/ Community Development
  2. Must be a Born again Christian.
  3. Preferably a male
  4. Ability to ride a motor bike
  5. The preferred candidate should be from Lamu District ( Hindi, Mukowe or Lamu Island)
  6. Should have good communication skills and report writing skills
  7. Skilled in Proposal development and other fundraising strategies
  8. Two years experience in NGO work in Kenya
  9. Available immediately
