The Kenya Catholic Secretariat is looking for a position of HIV/AIDS Program Manager.
This position exists to build the capacity of KEC and the Catholic Health Commission in oversight of Clinical HIV/AIDS programs and to improve the profile of KEC HIV&AIDS services.

This position exists to build the capacity of KEC and the Catholic Health Commission in oversight of Clinical HIV/AIDS programs and to improve the profile of KEC HIV&AIDS services.
Description of Work
- Participates in technical assistance activities- Site Visits, Training and Mentorship activities.
- Maintains open lines of communication between partners
- Participates in project evaluations and assessments
- Participates in the planning and facilitation of technical workshops
- Assess readiness of health units to initiate HIV/AIDS programs.
- Ensures compliance of projects to national guidelines and policies.
- Representation at Program Meetings and stakeholder forums
- Participate in Support Supervision Activities
- Make recommendations for improvement of HIV & AIDS Services
Required Qualifications/Skills
- A Catholic with a recommendation from his/her parish priest
- Medical Doctor with a Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine
- Masters Degree in Medicine or Public Health
- Computer literate
- 3 years experience in HIV/AIDS Programming
- Knowledge of the Kenyan health sector-strategies and policies a must.
- Experience in implementing US Government-funded projects an advantage
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Proven interpersonal, leadership, and training/mentoring skills.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills in English.
- Willingness to travel 50% of the time within Kenya
