Barefoot Power/Smart Solar Kenya Ltd is an innovative solar power and lighting company that provides solar products with a range of local businesses, Non-Governmental Organizations, and Microfinance Organizations. Smart Solar distributes products from Barefoot Power Ltd which are pro-poor and focus on providing lighting to the poorest of Kenya’s families.
The Project Officer will be charged with the overall responsibility of setting up micro-franchise projects, and co-ordinating recruitment training and coaching of entrepreneurs to run these projects. The Project Officer will also refine and update micro-franchise operational and training manuals, develop sales and franchise management skills, and impart comprehensive product knowledge of solar products so that the entrepreneurs remain competitive in business.

Requirements:
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in sales training and project management
• Bachelors Degree/Diploma in Project management or business management or equivalent
• Diploma in Human resource management with an emphasis on training.
• Excellent ability to build community relationships
• Strong verbal references are required from a minimum of 2 past employers and supervisors
• Excellent administrative and organizational skills.
• High ethical standards and transparent communication
• Easily adaptable to function in a changing, dynamic environment.
• Takes initiative in responding to tasks needing completion.
• Ability to work independently and as a team member.
• Able and willing to travel round the country when required.
