CARE USA is currently seeking to fill the position of Senior Gender Program Advisor.
The Senior Program Gender Advisor is responsible for technical and programmatic support to CARE staff and program partners in Africa, enhancing capacities to plan, implement and evaluate gender transformative programs across sectors.
This position is responsible for staff training and mentoring, technical support, assistance with documentation evaluation of gender components and enhancing organizational learning and progressive quality improvement in gender planning, implementation strategies, and measurement.
This position is also responsible for program and resource development, external representation at international meetings and conferences, and contributions to policy advocacy on gender issues. The position is based in Nairobi, Kenya.
Requirements include 7 — 10 years of experience in international development, with experience in gender training, research, and/or program implementation, and fluency in both French and English.
