Education Development Center (EDC) Program and Grants Officer

The Somalia Youth Livelihood Program, known as Shaqodoon, is a United
States Agency for International Development (USAID) funded program.
This program in implemented by Education Development Center (EDC). Due
to program expansion, SYLP would like to recruit a Program & Grants
Officer to be based in the Nairobi office.

Scope of Work Overview
The Program and Grants Officer will work closely with the
International Program Manager (IPM) to support overall program
management of the Somali International Fund for Youth (SIFY); oversee
sub-grant technical and financial compliance and ensure conformity
with donor regulations.  Work closely with regional field coordinators
in Somaliland, Puntland, and South Central to monitor sub-grant
progress at the field level and to assure robust and common monitoring
& evaluation systems are deployed Serve as the de facto financial
officer for the SYLP Nairobi Office.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 8 - 10 years related experience
or Master’s degree or equivalent with 5 – 7 years relevant experience.
Competency with program design (including budgeting, grants/report
writing, and results and indicator development).Demonstrated
experience in report and proposal writing and review. Ability to work
independently while being a strong team player. Knowledge of USAID
regulations and procedures (preferred);Experience in financial
management and budget analysis (preferred);
