Education Development Center (EDC) is one of the world’s leading non-profit research and development firms. EDC’s Sudan Radio Service project is seeking Bureau Producers, Studio Technicians and IT Specialists.
Sudan Radio Service (SRS) is a USAID - supported project that delivers accurate, balanced news and information to the people of Sudan via shortwave broadcasts heard nationally and on FM 98.6, in Juba, Southern Sudan. SRS has a team of nearly 40 journalists/producers based in Sudan and Nairobi, Kenya, who report news and develop information programming, based on the journalistic principles of fairness and accuracy.
BUREAU PRODUCERS (Three Positions) - Juba,
SRS Bureau Producers will gather news and produce programs for SRS based in in Juba,but may be required to travel to other locations in Sudan. Experienced journalists are preferred but training will be given to appropriate candidates.
STUDIO/RADIO TECHNICIANS (Three Positions) – Juba
The Radio Studio Technician will be responsible for maintaining and servicing, the studios, recording equipment, backup power systems, and other equipment. They also take the lead, when needed, on recording in the studio and in the field, as well as compiling and uploading the final programs for broadcast.
IT SPECIALIST (Two Positions)
The IT Specialists will be responsible for the support and administration of SRS’s IT needs at its Juba-based offices. .
