Installation Technician Job - Synthesys Systems

Our client, Synthesys Systems Limited (www.synthesys.co.ke), is a proven leader in the field of integrated security solutions and with Head Offices in Nairobi.

The client is looking for an Installation Technician to be based in Uganda.
Location: Uganda
Responsibilities

• Installation, service and maintenance of a full range of integrated security products and services. (Access Control, CCTV, Intrusion Alarm, etc.)
• Check functionality of newly installed equipment to evaluate system performance.
• Demonstrate and provide system training to end users.
• Identify and replace malfunctioning equipment.
• Provides security equipment status and service reports to management and recommends actions, such as equipment update, replacement or relocation.

Candidate Profile

• Ugandan Nationality preferred but candidates from other nationalities with sufficient exposure to the local Ugandan market will also be considered.
• Knowledge of the local market and experience in security/fire installation systems an added advantage
• 1-3 years of experience in a similar role
• Ability to use basic hand and power tools with mechanical aptitude
• Knowledge of basic electronics, testing devices, multimeter and wiring diagrams
• Knowledge of basic computer hardware such as hard drives, modems, network cards, etc.

Knowledge/ Education

• Experienced in access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and intercom systems
• Proper use of hand and power tool operations and safety.
• Technical Certificate/ Diploma from a recognized institution
