For this purpose DSW supports family planning and sexual and reproductive health projects. DSW is currently running an EC funded project on Safe Motherhood in Coast and Nairobi regions.
Accounts Assistant
Job Purpose: Reporting to Finance Manager, the officer will be responsible for ensuring compliance of financial transactions and records to the approved policies, procedures and control systems.

Accounts Assistant

Responsibilities
- Verification of payment vouchers in accordance with the laid down policies and procedures
- Payment of authorized petty expenditures
- Processing of cheques
- Submission of all statutory deductions
- Cash reconciliation
- Follow up on reimbursements and surrender of imprest as per approved procedures
- Maintenance of fixed assets records
Qualifications
- Qualification from a recognized accounting body – CPA K or ACCA
- Proficiency in computer application
- One year practical experience at a relevant position
- Experience in using accounting software such as Pastel or Quick Books
- Experience in project accounting for NGOs will be an added advantage
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
IT / Data Analyst
Responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Support documentation of the work of DSW Kenya Office and its partner organizations
- Ensure efficient working of office computers both hardware and software
- Ensure efficient and effective working of the office IT network systems including internet an, printers and computers
- Train country office staff on the use of existing and new hardware and software
- Develop an efficient database for office use
- Assist programme department with data entry and analysis
- Support administration with filling and data management
Qualifications / skills
- Diploma / degree in IT from a recognized college / university
- Minimum 2 years of progressive working experience
- Should have knowledge of general Computer Skill, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint
- Knowledge of Hardware setup, repair and maintenance as well as software installation
- LAN troubleshooting
- Mail Server Setup, troubleshooting and maintenance
- Operating Systems [MSDOS, Windows95, 98, 2000, NT 4.0, XP and Linux].
- Database Management Skills [MS Access, SQL].
- Presentation Skills [MS PowerPoint,].
- Programming Skills [Visual Basic, VBA, C, C++, Java].
- Networking Skills [Intranet, Internet, Eudora, and MS Outlook].
- Experience in NGO work is an asset.
